How to Start a Window Cleaning Business RIGHT NOW With Minimal Startup Money

Uncategorized Mar 30, 2021

American culture today makes it seem so difficult to start and run your own successful business, but I am here to tell you it is not nearly as hard as they make it out to be. With just a small amount of money, you can start making over $500 a day. While it may not be easy, and it is definitely not a way to get rich quickly, window cleaning is a solid business that can make you a lot of money. Like any real business venture, it requires hard work. If you are willing to get out there and knock door to door, you will be able to pay your bills by cleaning windows before you know it.

Get the Basics

To get started on your new business you will need a small amount of equipment. You should be able to get everything you need for around $50 at your local hardware store. Personally, I like Lowes because their store brand is higher quality than HomeDepot, but either will work.

The most important thing you are going to need is a squeegee and scrubber. You can get these for around $20, and you can even get one with a pivoting head if you want to make things easier on yourself. Then I recommend you get an extension pole, the 8-foot pole will work fine. You will also need some soap, I generally use dawn dish soap and mix that with vinegar, which will get just about anything off. You will also need a bucket to put that mixture in, as well as some microfiber cloths to dry it afterward.

Believe it or not with these simple tools you can go out and make over $500 a day. So however you need to scrape together the $50 to start this business, do it. It will be well worth it, and you will see returns almost instantly.

Get Out There and Talk to Customers

The easy part scraping together $50 and buying the gear, the hard part is going out and using it. To get jobs when you are just starting off, you are going to have to go door to door. Knock on any and every house you can. Then say something along the lines of “ Hi I’m Joe with Joe’s Window Cleaning and I was wondering if anyone cleans your windows for you?”. They will say yes or no, then you offer your services. You will get plenty of no’s, but it just takes one yes to get the ball rolling.

I also suggest that you make a ton of business cards and give one to everyone that opens the door. That way they have something to contact you with if they change their minds, and there are sure to be a few that do change their minds. You can easily print out business cards over at VistaPrint.com and have them shipped to you in just a few days.

Believe in Yourself

The truth is, starting and running a successful business is hard, but it is definitely doable. You just have to believe in yourself and keep trying. The hardest part is getting started. The dozens of no’s you get knocking on doors often brings people down, but if you just keep pushing through it all, you can make $500 a day once you figure your system out.

Always remember that your success will never outperform your mindset. If you think you can not do something then you have already lost. Although if you believe in yourself and you are willing to put in the workday after day, you are much more likely to succeed.

The Hustle Will Set You Free

The best thing about starting your own business is the freedom that comes along with it. You are your own boss. You still have to do the work, and you will likely work twice as hard on your own business as you would a 9 to 5 job, however, the freedom that comes with it is well worth the temporary struggle. Plus you do not even need that much money to start!

You also never have to worry about running out of work when you start a business that revolves around physical labor. There is so much work out there that you can not even do it all. It may be hard to find at first but that is just because you have no idea what you are doing yet. As you grow and learn, work will come easier and easier, and then the jobs pay more and more.

You will eventually get to the point where you can hire help and even send them out to jobs on their own. Then you are free to focus on the details of your business and expand even more, or maybe catch up on a little sleep.
