Remembering Being Flat Broke And Depressed | Today I'm Living My Dreams | If I Can Do It, Anyone Can

Those memories of my younger self, the person who felt the hardships and struggled to get to work by bus, are so vivid that they are as fresh as yesterday. I remember sitting on the bus reading a book or listening to an audiobook. That makes me swear to myself that I'll be a successful entrepreneur, have a great life, be debt-free, and have money in the bank one day. Although it seems impossible back then, I have always experienced a sense of blind faith and confidence that all those dreams will come true.

While life seems impossible and so hard at this moment, these things will eventually come to pass. And I stand here right now, and my life is beautiful. This whole episode is just for real talk. I hope you spend your time with me.

“I remember stretching on that bus and putting my legs back and just leaning into stretches, not caring what anybody thought. Seven o'clock in the morning just in pain, whole body and pain. Because after cutting grass, operating a weed weapon running behind a walk-behind mower for 9 to 10 hours, I would literally ride my bike 10 miles to get home. By the time I got home from work, it'd be 10 p.m. And at the age of you know, 22, 23, 24, I wake up and do it all over again every single day. And I remember I lost my driver's license, and it was so depressing. God, I remember thinking these deep thoughts of this feels so impossible to get out of. I feel so incredibly trapped.”

Key Takeaways

“The one common denominator among successful people. They've found, the most important thing that makes the difference is the speed of implementation. That's from the time you learned about a great idea to the time you implement it really determines how fast to become successful, right? speed of implementation.”

"Find people who have already gone through the minefield and get around mastermind groups, webinars, live events. Get on the phone, find a mentor or coach or somebody that you can work this stuff out and speed up the rate of your evolution faster. So you can evolve faster and speed of implementation."
